The Executive Mayor of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru has applauded the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti on the successful conduct of the National convention of the Labour Party held in Umuahia on the 29th of April 2026.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the convention, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru stated that with the successful conduct of the convention, Governor Alex Otti has once again proven his leadership qualities and therefore authenticate his name as the National leader of the party in Nigeria.

The Mayor maintained that with this convention now done and dusted, the Labour Party is now set and ready for the 2027 general elections and will be going in to the election for outright victory in all positions available especially with the achievements of Governor Alex Otti in Abia State.

He used the medium to congratulate the newly elected NWC members led by Dr. Nnenadi Usman as National Chairman and Hon. Acho Obioma (Chomen) as National Secretary. He wished them a successful tenure in office as they led the Party to victory in 2027.
