2027: When People With Capacity Are Talking, An Unstable Character Like Cosmos Ndukwe Who Could Not Win His Polling Unit As Deputy Speaker Should Keep Quiet And Hide His Face In Shame
By Amb. Nwaigwe John Sunday.
It is laughable and insulting to hear Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe, a man whose political history is a catalogue of rejection and failure, opening his mouth to speak when men of capacity are discussing the future of Abia State in 2027.
Let us remind Ndi Abia who Cosmos Ndukwe is. This is a former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly who could not even win his own polling unit at Akanu Item in Bende LGA in 2019. A sitting Deputy Speaker rejected by his own kinsmen because of poor performance and total disconnect from his people. He failed to return to the House because his people said enough is enough.
Today, the same Cosmos Ndukwe, out of frustration and bitterness for losing the Abia APC Deputy Governorship ticket which he desperately lobbied for, has suddenly turned into a supporter of Governor Alex Otti. This is the same man who has never hidden his hatred for Alex Otti. When did he start loving Otti?
Every politically conscious Abian knows the truth: Cosmos Ndukwe is not supporting Otti out of genuine love. He is doing it out of anger that the APC denied him the deputy governorship ticket. He is a man driven by stomach infrastructure, not ideology.
How can a man who is a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, a member of the APC, be declaring support for a Labour Party Governor? What does that tell you about his character? Unstable, unreliable, and without political principle. A political rolling stone.
He thinks Governor Alex Otti is a fool who does not know those who are genuinely with him and those who are political refugees looking for relevance. Otti knows.
When serious men and women with capacity, character, and electoral value are talking about 2027, characters like Cosmos Ndukwe who have no polling unit, no political base, and no goodwill from their own village should keep quiet and hide their face in shame.
Enough Is Enough!
Abia has moved beyond this type of unstable politics.
