MAYOR’S INTER-SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION_

Day 4 Update — 9th October, 2026_

_FINAL DAY OF THE PRELIMINARY ROUND_

The Mayor’s Inter-School Quiz Competition, organised as part of activities marking the Two-Year Anniversary in Office of the Executive Mayor of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Engr. Prof. Okereke Eze Aru, concluded its preliminary rounds today, Friday, 9th October, 2026, with four secondary schools participating in the Day 4 contest.

The final day of the preliminary round witnessed another exciting display of academic knowledge, intellectual ability and healthy competition among students in Arochukwu Local Government Area.

_PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS_

1. Ututu Secondary School
2. Ututu Secondary Technical School
3. Ututu Secondary Commercial School
4. Isu Secondary School

_SIX SUBJECTS, ONE ACADEMIC CHALLENGE_

The participating schools competed across six subjects:

– Mathematics
– Physics
– Chemistry
– Biology
– Computer Studies
– English Language

_DAY 4 RESULTS_

Score: 57 points

Score: 51 points

_UTUTU SECONDARY TECHNICAL SCHOOL QUALIFIES FOR THE FINAL_

With an impressive 57 points, Ututu Secondary Technical School emerged as the overall winner of Day 4, taking first position in the competition and securing qualification for the final stage.

The school’s outstanding performance brought the preliminary round to an exciting conclusion, highlighting the academic potential and intellectual capabilities of students across the participating schools.

The competition has continued to demonstrate the importance of investing in education, encouraging academic excellence and creating opportunities for young people to showcase their talents.

_FOUR DAYS OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE: THE FINALISTS EMERGE_

Following four days of preliminary contests, the following schools have secured qualification for the final stage:

🥇 Day 1: Aggrey Memorial Model College — 60 points

🥇 Day 2: Ovukwu Abam Secondary School — 57 points

🥇 Day 3: Umunnabuo Secondary Technical School — 55 points

🥇 Day 4: Ututu Secondary Technical School — 57 points

The four qualifying schools will now look forward to the final stage, where they will compete for the ultimate title of Mayor’s Inter-School Quiz Champion.
