“NOBODY, ANYWHERE, AGREED TO CEDE ABIA GOVERNORSHIP TO ANOTHER CANDIDATE. IT IS A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL!” — Eric Opah!!!
At an enlarged stakeholders meeting held at Mbubo, Nsulu, in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, the APC Governorship Candidate, Chief Eric Chinemeucheya Opah, rallied Abia APC family to close ranks, pay no heed to misinformation and take the message of the party’s determination to take over Abia Government House to every community, ward and Local Government Area across the state.
Chief Opah urged party leaders and stakeholders to remain united and focused. He insisted that nobody, anywhere, had agreed to cede the Abia governorship to another candidate. He described contrary claims as misinformation designed to create confusion within the party.
Chief Opah further assured stakeholders that he and his running mate, Dr. Godswill Agu Egbe were fully committed to their mission to rescue Abia from high handedness, divisiveness, excessive taxation, poor salary payments, siphoning of public funds and inflated contract costs. He called on all party leaders and stakeholders to work together in harmony for the overall success of APC and all its candidates in the forthcoming elections.
The state party chairman and 2nd Vice Chairman of the 2027 Campaign Council, Hon. Chief Chijioke Chukwu called for greater understanding among party members and quick resolution of all remaining grievances arising from the party’s primary election. He expressed confidence that Abia APC has the numerical strength to win the election. He stressed that the ultimate decision rests with the people and not with a few individuals who have chosen to remain aggrieved.
Hon. Chukwu further disclosed that in the coming days, the party would witness coordinated campaign activities across the state as the various structures of the party intensify mobilisation for the 2027 elections.
The Deputy Governorship Candidate, Dr. Godswill Agu Egbe; the party’s Abia Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Emeka Atuma; the candidate for Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Chief Uzo Ihuka; and several other speakers expressed confidence in the party’s 2027 general election prospects, assuring stakeholders of a decisive victory for the APC.
The speakers also agreed that it was internal party strife in 2023 and the Obi wave that brought the current Abia government into power, but they quickly abandoned those who assisted them, including Mr. Peter Obi and now want to cunningly use those initially rejected for governance in their campaign.
They argued that Abians have now had the opportunity to assess the current administration and have seen there is no messiah anywhere, promises have not been kept and the huge resources flowing into the state from APC federal government have not translated into better living for Abians. They also accused the current administration of mismanagement of Abia resources and pursuing policies that have placed excessive financial burdens on ordinary people.
The stakeholders therefore pledged to close ranks, strengthen the party’s structures and mobilise across the state to deliver Abia to APC for the first time, which will ensure seamless cooperation between the state and federal government.
The Campaign Director General, Chief Charles Ogbonna; an Abia elder, Chief John Nwangborogwu; and several other party leaders and dignitaries attended the meeting.

Signed.
Eric Opah Campaign Organisation.
