Education is the greatest equalizer. When you give a child quality education, you give that child the opportunity to build a better future.
This is the philosophy that drives Hon. Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa, who has consistently emphasized the importance of education as the foundation for development in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
REACHING THE GRASSROOTS
Through the Ikenna & Jenn Ukwa Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Hon. Ukwa has already taken practical steps to improve learning. Educational materials have been distributed to pupils in several communities including Okpocha Primary School, Ugwuafia Primary School, and Ania Primary School.
According to him, the initiative was designed to improve access to essential learning materials, enhance the learning experience and empower pupils with the tools they need for future success.
SUPPORTING GIRLS’ EDUCATION
In further demonstration of his commitment, Hon. Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa facilitated the construction of a modern female hostel complex at Federal Government College, Ohafia, with the objective of improving safety, accommodation, retention and the overall learning environment for female boarding students.
₦100 MILLION EDUCATIONAL TRUST FUND FOR 2027
As part of his educational agenda ahead of the 2027 general election, Hon. Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa has announced plans to establish a *₦100 Million Educational Trust Fund* if elected to the National Assembly.
The fund, according to the proposal, will support students at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, covering:
– Scholarships for indigent but brilliant students
– WAEC and JAMB fees
– Educational materials
– Classroom renovation
– Support for orphans and children of widows
– Assistance to students living with disabilities
Hon. Ukwa stated that the Fund will be launched within his first 100 days in office and will operate annually to provide educational assistance to deserving students across the Federal Constituency.
The goal is simple: to make education more accessible, support students who need assistance, and create opportunities for the next generation.
Because education is not merely an investment in a child; it is an investment in the future of Arochukwu/Ohafia.
