HON IKENNA NICHOLAS UKWA: THE EARLY BIRD AXIOM.
Even before he mooted the idea of seeking for an elective platform, the man Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa, had began to lay strong foundations for the eventual launch of one.
As it is often said in Ohafia, ‘okuukoo adiigi ike, agba awa nri’, Ikenna started off to showcase his political prowess and readiness for an inclusive fashion of politics. For instance, beginning from midway on the Ebem-Akanu motor way, a section of the Ohafia community that was rife with attacks on people going home after their businesses in the cosmopolitan areas because of the nature of the area (Ugomba junction to Mammy area); giant solar lights were mounted. That stretch of road was illuminated beyond the famous SKOG event centre at Amaekpu. It was a signature project by Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa.
It was done without conderstions for who were to benefit. He did it for Nde Ohafia dum! He could have made choices since those social assets were within his control. But he delivered them to Ohafia. Additionally, he extended the project to other parts of Ohafia and soon, it was escalated like a wild harmattan fire, to every nook and cranny of the vast Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. He was not Representing anyone in any capacity. He was an EARLY BIRD.
As though that was not enough, he embarked on the registration of students for JAMB and other quasi examinations. Hundreds of candidates who would have missed entering into higher institutions or writing their respective examinations, due to financial constraints, were relieved of the trauma that would have followed had they missed the opportunity to continue their education. Parents heaved a sigh of relief and asked God to bless this young man who is full of human kindness.
While that was ongoing, a gigantic plan for a comprehensive medical outreach, was organized for communities in the Federal Constituency. The aged, the young and middle aged across several communities, benefited from the benovelence. He was never divisive, there were no isolated places either.
Then, came when he finally declared his intension to run for an elective platform, having seen that he would do more and that he would lavishly deploy the aggregated funds of the Constituency judiciously for the benefit of the people, the whole Constituency, yelled and chorused ‘yes, let him go, for we shall undoubtably, begin a new era of feeling the power of effective representation’.
However, just as the proverbial early birds will garner a lot of early morning fruits, Ikenna has garnered a legion of followers that will obviously frighten the wits out of any other. He has so extensively reached out to every section of the Constituency. He has paid visits to people across every divide of the Constituency, the distances and obscured nature of the terrain notwithstanding. That is politics, that is the characteristics of a leader, that is a demonstration that both the Jews and the Gentiles, were created by the same God.
Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa has come into the political fray for obvious reasons: repair the damage that has been done, revert the denials experienced, rebuild the walls of division, develop the constituency and indeed, give Ohafia a strong political identity. He will deliver on these mandates. A support for Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa, is a support for a new social order, a support for general reintegration and a support for even deployment across every part of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. He is our known Candidate, and he will enjoy our unfailing supports and also harvest our collective votes come 2027.
