BISHOP SUNDAY ONUOHA ENDORSES BOURDEX, DESCRIBES HIM AS A PATHFINDER AND CREDIBLE CANDIDATE FOR ABIA NORTH SENATE
“His ingenuity and pioneering initiatives in Nigeria’s telecommunications revolution will remain unforgettable.”
The Founder and President of Vision Africa Radio, renowned clergyman, politician, and stakeholder in the Abia rebuilding project, Bishop Sunday Onuoha,, has declared his support for the senatorial ambition of Chief Dr David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex,, describing him as a credible candidate with a proven track record of innovation, enterprise, and productivity.
Bishop Onuoha also called on the people of Abia State to ensure that credible, competent, and reliable candidates emerged at all levels of governance to complement the transformation agenda of Governor Alex Otti and restore the dignity of Abia State in line with the founding ideals of its founding fathers.
He made this declaration on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, when Chief Bourdex and his team paid him a courtesy visit at the Vision Africa Radio Station office in Umuahia.
The renowned clergyman described Chief Bourdex as a brother and trusted friend whom he had known for many years, dating back to the period when the Bishop worked with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, particularly during Nigeria’s telecommunications revolution.
According to Bishop Onuoha, Chief Bourdex is an honest individual and a pathfinder in the media and telecommunications industry whose vision, drive, and investment initiatives contributed to the broader advancements the country enjoys today in telecommunications and online business.
He noted that Chief Bourdex’s entrepreneurial accomplishments and professional experience distinguish him as a candidate capable of bringing fresh ideas, innovative solutions, and purposeful leadership to the Abia North Senatorial District.
Bishop Onuoha further emphasised that his political mission is to support the emergence of leaders with demonstrable records of achievement, who seek public office to serve the people rather than make a living from political positions.
He maintained that governance at every level should be entrusted to individuals with the capacity, integrity, and commitment to deliver measurable results and promote sustainable development.
In his remarks, Chief Dr David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex explained that his decision to contest for the Abia North Senatorial seat was driven by his concerns over what he described as the decay in political representation and the failure of leadership to meet the expectations of the people, particularly in Abia North.
Chief Bourdex added that his ambition was motivated by the desire to establish enduring legacies, set new standards of representation, and create a better future for generations to come.He appealed on Bishop Sunday Onuoha and the people of Abia North to support his aspiration for a progressive, united, and prosperous senatorial district.
He expressed concern over what he described as the declining performance of some long-serving political representatives, arguing that prolonged occupancy of public office without commensurate results had contributed to diminishing returns in leadership and representation.
According to him, Abia North deserves a new approach to representation—one anchored on accountability, innovation, effective project delivery, and the responsible use of public resources.
Chief Bourdex assured his host that he would deploy his wealth of professional experience, business acumen, and leadership capacity to attract meaningful development and deliver tangible dividends of democracy to Abia North.
He declared:
“No project that is budgeted for and funded shall be executed shabbily. Bourdex standards can never be compromised. I am not seeking political power to enrich myself; I want to work for my people, deliver meaningful development, and create public wealth.” Chief Bourdex
The visit further underscored Chief Bourdex’s commitment to engaging respected leaders, stakeholders, and influential voices across Abia State in building a broad-based movement for effective representation, good governance, and sustainable development.
