Abam APC Stakeholders Unite Behind Prince Ike Okorafor, Signal Strong Momentum Ahead of 2027

Abam, Arochukwu LGA — In a significant show of unity and grassroots consolidation, leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abam convened a high-level stakeholders’ meeting yesterday at the APC clan leaders house in Ozu Abam, reaffirming their collective commitment to peace, cohesion, and electoral victory in the forthcoming political cycle.

The meeting commenced with an opening prayer and remarks delivered by the revered APC clan leader, Chief John Emeaba, who set the tone by emphasizing reconciliation, discipline, and shared purpose as indispensable pillars for political success. His remarks underscored a renewed moral and strategic direction for the party within Abam and the broader Arochukwu constituency.

In a symbolic demonstration of unity and cultural continuity, the Ohafor Abam Ward Chairman, Kalu Okeke, formally presented kola nuts to all Abam stakeholders. The kola was subsequently handed over to Chief Emeaba for traditional blessings, after which representatives from all wards—Ohafor Abam Ward 1, Ohafor Abam Ward 2, Ohaeke, and Ovukwu—received their portions. This ritual reinforced solidarity and collective identity across the wards.

Chairman Okeke further expressed gratitude to God for granting safe passage to all attendees and used the opportunity to formally introduce Prince Ike Okorafor to the gathering. In his address, Prince Okorafor articulated a clear and compelling message centered on forgiveness, peace, and unity of purpose as the only viable pathway to political victory and sustainable development.

Demonstrating both strategic foresight and grassroots commitment, Prince Okorafor announced that he has concluded arrangements to sponsor the membership registration of 1,100 APC members across all 11 wards in Arochukwu LGA. This intervention is widely viewed as a critical step toward strengthening the party’s structure, expanding its base, and enhancing electoral readiness.

In a further boost to his candidacy, the Arochukwu LGA Youth Leader publicly endorsed Prince Okorafor’s aspirations, signaling strong intergenerational support and reinforcing his appeal among the youth demographic an increasingly decisive voting bloc.

Notably, Mrs. Ngozi Ogbuagu, APC Abia North Publicity Secretary, was present at the meeting and played a pivotal role in affirming stakeholder alignment. In a direct and symbolic show of consensus-building, she asked the gathering, “If you are for Ike, say yes; if not, say no.” The stakeholders responded with a resounding “Yes,” echoing unified support across the hall. She further emphasized the urgent need for unity of purpose in delivering Abia North to the APC in 2027, reinforcing the strategic importance of cohesion at all levels of the party.

Also in attendance, Hon. Igwe Ezelu called for peace and unity as critical imperatives for securing electoral victory, stressing that only a cohesive and disciplined party structure can deliver success for Dikeogu 1 of Abam in the 2027 elections.

The meeting culminated in a resounding vote of confidence as Abam APC stakeholders unanimously pledged their full support for the aspirations of Prince Ike Okorafor (Dikeogu 1 of Abam). The endorsement reflects a growing consensus around his leadership capacity, political independence, and commitment to service-driven representation.

As the political landscape in Arochukwu continues to evolve, today’s meeting positions Prince Ike Okorafor as a formidable contender with deep grassroots acceptance, strategic clarity, and a unifying vision for the future.
