Workers Day: Mayor of Arochukwu Felicitates With Arochukwu Workers, Describes Them As Partners of Progress
In celebration of 2026 Workers Day, the Mayor of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru has extended his warm felicitations to all workers across Arochukwu, Abia and Nigeria at large, hailing them as indispensable partners of progress in the growth and development of the Nation.
The Mayor commended the dedication, resilience, and sacrifice of Arochukwu workers across all sectors — civil servants, teachers, healthcare workers, artisans, farmers, traders, and private sector employees. He noted that their tireless efforts remain the backbone of the local economy and the driving force behind community development.
As Partners of Progress: The Mayor described workers as the engine room of governance, stressing that no administration can succeed without a committed workforce. “You are not just employees, you are partners in building the Arochukwu of our dreams,” he said.

The Mayor concluded by saluting the organized labor in Arochukwu LGA for maintaining industrial harmony and supporting His administration’s and that of the Executive Governor of Abia State’s vision for a prosperous, peaceful, and productive Arochukwu.
