LABOUR PARTY IHECHIOWA CHAPTER HOLDS A STRATEGIC MEETING, REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR DR. ALEX CHIOMA OTTI AND ALL LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATES
The Labour Party Ihechiowa Chapter held a strategic meeting on Sunday, 20th Sept. 2026, bringing together party stakeholders and political leaders to discuss party activities and mobilisation ahead of upcoming elections.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Mayor of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Engr. Prof. Okereke Eze Aru, who joined other party stakeholders at the gathering.
Speaking during the meeting, “the Mayor, Engr. Prof. Okereke Eze Aru, re-emphasised the importance of unity among party members, stressing the need for cohesion, mutual understanding and collective commitment to the party’s objectives.
The Mayor called on party members and supporters across the Clan to remain united, organised, and committed to the party and our individual collective campaign efforts.
He further assured prospective members and defectors from other political parties that the Labour Party’s doors remain wide open to receive them, noting that all those willing to join the party would be welcomed and encouraged to contribute to its growth and development at the grassroots.”
The meeting had other party stakeholders such as;

3. Chief Sir Kalu Diogu Agwu – Labour Party LGA Secretary

5. Hon. Mathew Okoronkwo – Supervisory Councilor for Works
6. Hon. Eni Kalu Eni – Chief of Staff to the Mayor
7. Hon. Christian Kalu – Eleoha Ward, Party Chairman
8. Hon. Obinna Okoro – Ikwun Ward, Party Chairman
9. Mr. William Eke Marcus – LGA Ass. Coordinator Abia Arise.

The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots mobilisation and support for Dr. Alex Chioma Otti and other Labour Party candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The strategic meeting provided an opportunity for Labour Party members and stakeholders within Ihechiowa Clan to engage on party affairs, strengthen coordination, and discuss mobilisation efforts across the area.
During the meeting, participants expressed their support for Dr. Alex Chioma Otti and other Labour Party candidates.
The meeting concluded with renewed engagement among party stakeholders, party faithfuls and a commitment by participants to continue working within the party structure toward the forthcoming general election.
