Mayor of Arochukwu, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru Felicitates With Abians on Democracy Day As He Calls for More Support for Gov. Otti’s led administration.

The Executive Mayor of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru has on behalf of the government and the good people of Arochukwu LGA felicitated with Abians as Nigeria marks her 27th Democracy Day.

In his goodwill message, Prof. Aru described democracy as the government of the people, by the people, and for the people, and urged leaders at all levels to protect its core values of equity, justice, and fairness.

He maintained that Democracy Day reminds us that power belongs to the people. It is a day to reflect on how far we have come and to recommit ourselves to building a state and nation where every citizen has a voice and a fair chance, he stated.

The Mayor commended Governor Alex Otti for restoring accountability and transparency in governance, noting that such leadership has renewed public confidence in democracy.

He assured residents of Arochukwu LGA that his administration will continue to work in synergy with the state government to deliver healthcare, education, and youth empowerment and more dividends of democracy.

He therefore urged the good people of Arochukwu LGA to celebrate responsibly. Let us also use this day to renew our commitment to peace, unity, and development. A stronger democracy means a stronger Arochukwu and a stronger Abia, the Arochukwu council boss, Prof. Aru added.

He prayed for continued peace and progress in Abia State and Nigeria.
