June 12: Anyaso Calls for Peace as Nigeria Marks Democracy Day

The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency in the forthcoming election, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has felicitated with Nigerians, particularly the people of Bende, as the nation commemorates Democracy Day.

In a message made available to the media on Thursday, Anyaso stressed the importance of peace, unity, and security in sustaining democratic governance and fostering national development.

He noted that security remains the foundation upon which democratic dividends can be delivered to the people, urging governments at all levels and relevant stakeholders to intensify efforts toward addressing the security challenges confronting the country.

According to him, no meaningful development can thrive in an atmosphere of insecurity, adding that safeguarding lives and property should remain a top priority for all leaders.

Anyaso also called on Nigerians to continue supporting democratic institutions and embrace peaceful coexistence irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious differences.

Addressing the people of Bende, the Labour Party stalwart urged constituents to remain steadfast and committed to the democratic process, emphasizing the need to make informed choices during elections.

He charged the electorates to vote responsibly in 2027 to ensure that the benefits of democracy are not denied to the people, expressing confidence that the constituency can achieve greater progress through visionary and people-oriented leadership.

While wishing Nigerians a peaceful Democracy Day celebration, Anyaso reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement, development, and welfare of the people of Bende Federal Constituency.
