Amb. Emmanuel Josiah Set to Officially Declare for Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal House of Representatives Seat Under Labour Party
A new political movement is gathering momentum in Abia State as Ambassador Emmanuel Josiah, founder of the Evansino Humanitarian Foundation, prepares to officially declare his intention to contest for the Federal House of Representatives seat representing Obingwa, Osisioma and Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency under the Labour Party.
The formal declaration ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, May 15, 2026, at his residence in Eziama Nteghauzor, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, by 12 noon.
Widely known for his humanitarian engagements and grassroots interventions, Ambassador Josiah has continued to gain recognition across the constituency for his philanthropic outreach, youth-centered initiatives, and commitment to community development. His entrance into the race is already generating conversations among political stakeholders and residents who view his candidacy as a fresh call for purposeful and people-oriented representation.
As the visionary behind the Evansino Humanitarian Foundation and Evansino Global Outreach Fellowship, Ambassador Josiah has built a reputation beyond business and entrepreneurship, dedicating significant efforts toward improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and communities. His humanitarian activities have reportedly touched many lives within and outside Abia State, earning him admiration among youths and community leaders.
One of the defining moments of his public service involvement was his role as Chairman of the Travel Committee during the Obingwa Youth Empowerment Summit, where he contributed immensely to the successful repatriation of stranded young women from Libya back to Abia State.
