WHEN TOMFOOLERY BECOMES THE ONLY PROJECT IN THE GREEN CHAMBER

Let us respond objectively to this latest Facebook press statement that says:

> “Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji – son of a former governor successfully facing over 60.85 billion 16 count criminal charge by the EFCC. He is currently an APC Candidate seeking another opportunity to continue from where he stopped.”

First, thank you for showing Nigerians your only achievement in three years and some months in the Green Chamber: tomfoolery on Facebook.

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY? INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY

The EFCC charge you are celebrating is not a conviction. Under Section 36(5) of the 1999 Constitution, every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction. Has any court convicted His Excellency Distinguished Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji or Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji as a thief? No. Has any court pronounced them guilty of stealing N60.85bn or any amount? No. Then who are you to call them thieves? That is exactly what the Cybercrimes Act calls cyberstalking – knowingly sending false message to cause breakdown of law and order. Must you consistently allow your imbecility garnished with infantile spasms of comic amnesia expose you always?

You cannot brand people thieves for three years and some months, call a 75-year-old former Governor a thief on Facebook Live, call his son offspring of a thief, and then cry cyberbullying when people ask you where is our two trailers of rice and where is N450m Afugiri Health Centre. That is comedy.

THE CASE IS IN COURT, NOT ON FACEBOOK

If there is a 16-count charge of N60.85bn, it is before a Federal High Court. Go to court and watch. Let the court decide. EFCC has charged many people in Nigeria – former Governors, Senators, Ministers, even sitting House members. Does charge mean conviction? If we use your logic, many members of the Green Chamber should not be there. But the law does not work like Facebook comments. The law works with evidence.

So continue your exhibition of tomfoolery. Continue to do your job as Senior Special Assistant on Facebook Insults. It suits you. Because your only project in the Green Chamber is to type about Orji family from morning to night, while Ndi Ikwuano/Umuahia are asking for light, roads, and rice.

CYBERSTALKING AND CYBERBULLYING – WHO IS BULLYING WHO?

You call a man son of a former governor facing charge. We agree he is son of former Governor, proud son. But you have forgotten that His Excellency Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji, is a man old enough to be your father, who served this State for 16 years as Governor and Senator. You call him thief daily. Is that not cyberbullying? Is that not cyberstalking? When Rt Hon Chinedum Orji asks legitimate questions about rice and N450m health centre, you call it bullying. When you call his father thief, you call it activism. Which law is that?

CONCLUSION: WE ARE NOT DISTRACTED

Continue your exhibition of tomfoolery as your only achievements in the Green Chamber. Continue to brand people thieves when no court has pronounced them so. Continue to do Facebook while Bende enjoys 26 transformers.

Despite your putrid antics, despite your infantile, degrading and insulting posturing as a Personal Assistant to the Governor, the resolve of Ndi Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency is settled: to kick out incompetence in 2027 and vote in capacity, delivery and competent representation. That competent representation is in the person of Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji who will speak for us in the Green Chamber, not insult us from the Green Chamber.
