AS INEC LIFTS THE CAMPAIGN BAN FOR THE STATE ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS TODAY, AROCHUKWU MUST ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS AND DEMAND STRAIGHT ANSWERS.
After three years in office, are the people of Arochukwu State Constituency truly better off or has the mandate been squandered while the noise machine ran full time?
What has ACTUALLY been achieved beyond the photo opportunities and the recycled press releases?
How many bills has our representative sponsored and seen passed into law and more importantly, how many of them have touched the real, lived experience of the ordinary Arochukwu man, woman, and child? Not bills for the record books. Bills that put food on tables, that kept children in school, that gave our people dignity.
How many motions has he raised and did a single one of them move the needle on the everyday struggles of our people, or were they just entries in a Hansard nobody reads?
Let him answer, clan by clan:
What has he done for Isu? Name the project. Name the impact. Silence is not an answer.
What has he done for Ihechiowa? Beyond the campaign season handshakes, what stands today as his legacy there?
And Ututu is a single commissioned borehole, that many now openly call cosmetic and non-functional, the full measure of three years in office? Is that the “development” our people were promised in 2023?
What of Arochukwu town itself the seat of our history, the land of the Long Juju and the Aro Confederacy what has he brought home to it?
And even Abam his own people, aside from his hometown, what has been left for the rest of Abam while fifteen of our communities fight for the very land beneath their feet?
Which of his 2023 campaign promises has he actually kept in Isu, in Ihechiowa, in Ututu, in Arochukwu, in Abam?
Which empowerment and benevolence programmes has he sustained or did they die the moment the cameras were switched off?
And here is the question Arochukwu will not let him dodge: who is behind the sale of Abam land?
As Majority Leader the second most powerful voice in that Assembly where has he stood while fifteen Abam communities fight to hold on to ancestral land that has been theirs for generations? Where was his voice when the Ministry of Lands turned its back on Abam sons and daughters trying to register what is rightfully theirs? Where was his voice when a foreign conglomerate stood to walk away with billions while our people were offered a fraction of what their land is worth?
His silence speaks volumes. A Majority Leader with majority silence, and a legacy confined to his hometown, is not leadership it is abandonment of the whole constituency he swore to represent.
Can our representative stand before ALL of Arochukwu LGA: Isu, Ihechiowa, Ututu, Arochukwu, and Abam alike look them in the eye, and defend a record that stops at his own doorstep?
At the end of the day, performance is measured by what is INDIVIDUALLY achieved for EVERY community that gave him their mandate not just the one he calls home.
The great people of Arochukwu State Constituency deserve and DEMAND a clear, honest account of what has been done, everywhere, with the mandate they gave in 2023.
