ADC’s Tabitha Receives Rousing Welcome from Isu Women at 2026 August Meetings.

With chants of “Tabi Nwa!” reverberating through the air, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Candidate for Arochukwu Constituency, Mrs Francess Olisa Ogbonnaya (TABITHA), received a tumultuous welcome from the women of Obieze and Ike in Usu Community during their 2026 August Meeting held on Saturday, August 29.

The award-winning journalist-turned-politician, who was the special guest at the gathering, was warmly received by the women, who expressed their appreciation for her presence, commitment and growing engagement with the people.

Addressing the gathering, Tabitha commended the women for their resilience, unity and tenacity, describing them as a critical force in the development of their families and communities.

She urged the women to take an active role in the 2027 political process, stressing the importance of supporting a woman with the capacity, experience and determination to positively change the fortunes of Ndi Isu.

Tabitha further called for greater women participation in politics, emphasizing that the time has come for women to move beyond being spectators to becoming active participants and decision-makers in the political process.

While expressing appreciation to the organizers and the women of Obieze and Ike respectively for the warm reception and show of love, the ADC candidate pledged to build a strong partnership with the women of Isu.

According to her, “God’s Time is Now” to move Isu forward, promising that her engagement with the community would be anchored on partnership, inclusion and people-oriented representation.

The ADC candidate was accompanied to the event by ADC Arochukwu Party Chieftain, Ikemba Ejiofor Ezeani, and the Abia State ADC Female Youth Leader, Hon. Francisca Amakwe.

The colourful gathering ended on a high note, with the enthusiastic chants of “Tabi Nwa!” underscoring the warm reception accorded the ADC candidate by the women.
