AMAEKPU YOUTHS SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE, PLEDGE TOTAL SUPPORT FOR IKENNA UKWA AHEAD OF 2027
…Our Son, Our Brother, Our Choice
There are moments in politics when a community does not need to be persuaded to speak, it simply speaks from the heart.
That was the atmosphere at Amaekpu Town Hall, as the youths of Amaekpu Ohafia, under the leadership of Mr. Ulu Nkata, came together in an extensive and engaging interactive session with their son and brother, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, the APC candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
In a powerful show of unity, the Amaekpu youths spoke with one voice, declaring their unwavering support for Chief Ikenna Ukwa ahead of the 2027 National Assembly election.
For them, this was not simply about politics.
It was about one of their own.
It was about a son whose journey, they said, has continued to reflect a commitment to empowerment, humanitarian service, community development and the welfare of the people.
The youths pledged to mobilize massively across the polling units and work tirelessly towards securing victory for Chief Ikenna Ukwa, expressing their belief that his representation would bring greater opportunities and development to Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
Their message was clear, very clear.
Amaekpu is standing with her son.
Speaking during the interaction, Chief Ikenna Ukwa expressed deep appreciation for the confidence and overwhelming support shown by the youths.
He assured them that their voices would not only be heard but would remain an important part of his leadership vision.
He promised to prioritize initiatives that will empower young people, create opportunities, encourage self-reliance and equip the youths to become active participants in the economic and social development of the constituency.
For Chief Ukwa, the youth are not merely supporters to be remembered during elections.
They are partners in building the future.
The engagement later moved to Ndi Uyo Compound, Amaekpu Ohafia, the ancestral compound of Chief Ikenna Ukwa, where family members and elders received him with warmth and affection.
In a deeply emotional homecoming, the people of the compound offered heartfelt prayers for him, asking God to guide his steps, protect him and grant him success in his aspiration to represent the entire Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
It was a beautiful convergence of youth, family, community and tradition.
From the voices of the youths at the Town Hall to the prayers of the elders at Ndi Uyo Compound, one message echoed throughout the gathering:
“Our son must succeed.”
Chief Ikenna Ukwa was accompanied by members of his campaign council, party leaders and members, aides and other stakeholders.
The Amaekpu gathering once again demonstrated the power of community when people unite around a shared vision.
And as the journey toward 2027 continues, the youths of Amaekpu have made their position unmistakably clear:
They are ready.
They are united.
They are mobilized.
And they are standing with their son
