BENDE YOUTHS: OUR TIME IS NOW – DR. ANYASO CHARGES YOUTHS ON INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY
As the world marks International Youth Day 2026, the youths of Bende Local Government Area have been charged to rise up, take responsibility, and position themselves as the architects of the future of Bende.
In a goodwill message, community stakeholders emphasized that the development of Bende depends largely on a generation that is empowered, educated, skilled, and actively included in decision-making processes.
“The future of Bende belongs to us. This is our time to lead, to innovate, to build, and to serve. We must move beyond just being followers and take our rightful seat at the table,” the message read.
The statement also commended *Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji)* for his consistent investment in young people across Bende. It noted that through mentorship, empowerment programs, and opportunities for growth, Dr. Anyaso has continued to demonstrate that youth development is central to building a prosperous and united Bende.
“With leaders like Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso who believe in investing in young people, a better Bende is not just possible, it is achievable. His example reminds us that when youths are supported, the entire community benefits,” it added.
The message called on Bende youths to embrace peace, hard work, innovation and unity, stressing that these values are needed to drive progress in agriculture, business, technology, education and governance in the LGA.
