Ndi Eze Ogo Arochukwu LGA Pledges 100% Support for Gov. Otti’s Re-election As They Meet With Arochukwu Council Boss.

The Union of Nde Eze Ogo in Arochukwu Local Government Area have declared total support for the re-election of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement came during a special meeting of the union held in Arochukwu with the Executive Mayor of Arochukwu LGA, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru on Tuesday, 7th of July with over 20 registered Eze Ogos in attendance.
Except those Eze Ogos who are not yet registered with the union that were absent.

Speaking through their spokespersons, the Eze Ogos commended Governor Otti for what they described as purposeful leadership and timely delivery of democratic dividends across the 17 local government areas of the state.

They eulogized the Mayor of Arochukwu LGA, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru, for what they described as transformation of Arochukwu headquarters, noting his commitment to grassroots development.
According to them, projects facilitated by the Mayor have reached almost all the 11 wards in Arochukwu LGA
including the drilling of water boreholes, renovation of primary schools, upgrading of health centers, and establishment of evening markets in all the clans, complete and total rehabilitation of the council headquarters, staff Mayor’s and staff quarters among others.

In their words “We are witnessing real governance under Governor Otti and Mayor, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru. The projects are visible in every ward and clan,” one of the spokespersons said. “For this reason, we assure the talk-and-do Governor of our 100% support for his re-election in 2027 to ensure continuity.”

The union also used the meeting to table a formal request to meet with Governor Otti. They said the request would be facilitated through the office of the Mayor.

Responding, Mayor of Arochukwu LGA, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru thanked the Eze Ogos for their solidarity and assured them that their message would be channeled to the Governor through the appropriate authorities and without delay.

He urged members of the union to intensify efforts to register Eze Ogos from various villages who are not yet part of the body. He also called for stronger collaboration with the Autonomous Traditional Rulers, whom he described as the recognized government representatives in their communities.

In his remarks, Eze Ogo Umuye, and Eze Ogo Otada Martins gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the union. The meeting was brought to a close with a closing prayer offered by the Mayor, Prof. Okereke Eze Aru.
