A group known as the movement for the betterment of Arochukwu (M.B.A) has thrown their weight behind Hon. Uche Kalu Chiowa as their choice for Abia State House of Assembly come 2027. The group urged him to speed up his game in other to rescue Arochukwu from this self inflicted legislative marginalization by the current member representing Arochukwu at the state House of Assembly. Speaking during their general meeting at Arochukwu, the coordinator of the group, Comrade Chukwuma Okoroafor stated that the time has come for the people of Arochukwu to make a difference as the current member of the Assembly has disappointed the people of Arochukwu LGA since he was elected in 2023.
Also contributing, the publicity secretary of the group, Dr. Onyemaechi Kalu stated that they decided to publicly endorsed Hon. Uche Kalu Chiowa because he is a man of the people who has all the qualities of a good Leader with his track records when he was a Councilor and they are quite convinced that he will not disappoint them and pledged to support him Financially and otherwise.
Earlier the president of the group, Mr Kanu Okore stated that the group has finalized plans to embark on house to house campaign across the 11 wards of Arochukwu LGA.
Responding, Hon. Uche Kalu Chiowa represented by Chief Kalu Peter Okafor thanked the group for endorsing Him, and promised not to disappoint them, he also urged the group to go out and keep sensitizing the public on the need to register and obtain their permanent voters card (PVCS) as to be able to elect him during the general election next year.
