FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AROCHUKWU STAKEHOLDERS PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON ABIA MAJORITY LEADER, HON UCHENNA OKORO.
Arochukwu, Abia State – October 27, 2025 –
The Arochukwu Stakeholders Forum (ASF), the recognized and legitimate umbrella body for all stakeholders in Arochukwu Local Government Area, has issued a powerful vote of confidence in the Majority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly and Member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Honorable Uchenna Okoro.
The Forum’s declaration comes in the wake of unfounded allegations made by an unregistered and unrecognized entity calling itself the “Arochukwu Equity Forum.”
In a statement signed by the Chairman, Hon Mazi Nkem Enyi Okoro JP, KSC, and the Secretary, Elder Kalu Diogu, the ASF firmly asserted its condemnation of the group’s actions and its strong support for the honorable representative.
Honorable Uchenna Okoro was duly nominated by a political party and elected overwhelmingly by the good people of Arochukwu Local Government Area. As the legitimate representative, his mandate remains sacrosanct. The ASF stated emphatically that the so-called Arochukwu Equity Forum lacks both the authority and the legitimacy to initiate a recall process or make any claims against the people’s representative.
Stakeholders Caution Unregistered Group
The Arochukwu Stakeholders Forum used the opportunity to issue a stern warning to the alleged founders of the “Arochukwu Equity Forum,” Nicholas U. Kalu and Nneona Okereke Ezeogwu.
“We strongly condemn this action and stand in support of Honorable Uchenna Okoro,” the statement read. “We demand that the Arochukwu Equity Forum retract their statement within 24 hours and cease all further actions.”
The ASF made it clear that failure to comply with this demand “will result in legal consequences, and we will take all necessary steps to protect the reputation of our honorable representative and the people of Arochukwu.”
The leadership of the Arochukwu Stakeholders Forum urged the public and the media to disregard the misleading claims made by the unregistered group, reaffirming that Honorable Uchenna Okoro continues to enjoy the full support and confidence of his constituents.
