A former House of Assembly Aspirant in Arochukwu LGA, and a former Chieftain of the peoples Democratic party (PDP) Pastor Chris Obasi, FCA. has dumped the sinking umbrella to the Labour Party.

Declaring to Labour Party at his Elooha Ward Ihechiowa, Arochukwu LGA, Pst. Obasi, a Fellow of the Institution of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a business mogul stated that he was moved to join Labour Party due to the leadership qualities and developmental strides of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti.
He maintained that he decided to join LP to complement the good work of the Governor who has changed the story of Abia State for good unlike what it used to be.

Earlier in his speech, the ward Chairman of Labour Party in Eleoha, Mr Sampson Orji described pastor Chris Obasi as a man of integrity that will add values to the Labour Party, he welcome Pastor Chris Obasi and his supporters to the ruling party in Abia State.

The event attracted the presence of the LGA Secretary of Labour Party in Arochukwu LGA, Mr Kalu Diogu, other LGA Executive members, Ward Executive among other leaders of the party.
