Ukwa Nkporo Agog as Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa Commissions Well Furnished 3 Classroom Blocks
It was a moment of great joy and appreciation in Ukwa Nkporo as Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, commissioned a brand new, fully furnished block of three classrooms for the community.
The project, which aligns with Hon. Ibe’s campaign promises and his commitment to grassroots development, marks yet another step in his mission to deliver quality democratic dividends to all parts of his constituency. The commissioning ceremony witnessed the presence of a large entourage of Ukwa Villagers, Labour Party stakeholders, and councillors from various wards.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ibe emphasized his belief in equitable development, stating that regardless of the size of the constituency, every ward deserves a fair share of developmental projects. “Education is the bedrock of community development. I’m glad to hand over this project to Ukwa community today,” he said.
The traditional ruler, Ezieogo of Ukwa, HRM Ezeogo Mba Nkuma expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the community. He praised Hon. Osonwa as one of the few politicians who not only make promises but also fulfill them.
Also speaking at the event, the Leader of Ohafia Legislative Council, Hon. Arua Arua Anyim, who also serves as Councillor representing Ndagbo Ward, thanked the Ukwa community for their support and urged Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa to further extend development to the wider Nkporo area, especially in addressing the pressing issue of water supply.
In response, Hon. Osonwa assured the people of Nkporo that work is already underway to address their water challenges. He revealed that a geological survey has been completed in the area and confirmed the presence of underground water. According to him, they are now in the final stages of assessing the water depth and will soon mobilize contractors to the site.
