As leaders and stakeholders of PDP in Arochukwu LGA gathered at the home of Chief Eric Aso Kalu to discuss on the way forward, few decisions were taken.
During the meeting, the stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Abia State PDP Chairman, Elder Abraham Amah, for his dynamic leadership and efforts in repositioning the party across the state.
The Arochukwu PDP leadership, led by Hon. Sunday Okemini Odum (Chairman) and Hon. Kalu Okechukwu Peters (Secretary), formally recognized Chief Eric Aso Kalu as the political leader of Ututu Ward and one of the respected pillars of PDP leadership at the LGA level. Chief Kalu, also the founder of the Peak Foundation, had earlier received the LGA chairman and other party leaders at his residence, in a symbolic show of unity and continuity.
As part of strategic resolutions the secretary of the party, Hon. Peters mandated all ward chairmen to begin holding monthly ward meetings to deepen grassroots engagement and strengthen internal party coordination across the LGA.
In a strong show of commitment to the party’s electoral fortunes, the stakeholders collectively vowed to reclaim the Arochukwu State Constituency seat in the Abia State House of Assembly come 2027. They pledged to work together with renewed vigor to ensure the PDP remains the dominant force in the political landscape of Arochukwu.
The meeting ended with a renewed spirit of unity, strategic focus, and shared optimism for the future of the party in the LGA and beyond.
