OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF POLITICAL AMBITION
BY CHIEF ENYINNAYA DUKE AKO-ATULOMAH
An Answer to the People’s Long, Clarion Call

My dearly beloved brothers and sisters,
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. Your trust, support, and encouragement over the years have been an unwavering pillar in my life. Many of us have walked together for years—some for decades—and your consistent belief in me has been nothing short of inspiring. I am who I am because you are who you are.
Today, I stand before you—my closest circle—with a heart full of resolve and a mind sharpened by years of learning and service, to officially declare my intention to contest for the Federal House of Representatives (Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency) in the 2027 general elections.
Let me be clear: I do not make this decision lightly, nor is it one born from ambition alone. This step is a direct response to the persistent and heartfelt calls I have received from countless individuals over the years—calls I previously declined not out of fear, but out of respect for due process, timing, and the immense responsibility true leadership demands.
I have always believed in the words of John Maxwell: “Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.” Guided by this, I chose to focus on impacting lives and serving communities without the privileges or powers of public office. I believed, and still believe, that true leadership must be felt before it is formalized. And yet, even as I served from the sidelines, I knew that change sometimes demands more than influence—it demands presence in the system.
As Paulo Coelho once said, “The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.” It is now time for me to lead by example, from within the system, and to amplify my impact through dedicated, people-driven legislation and representation.
Over the past months, I have consulted far and wide—family, mentors, religious and community leaders, and trusted friends like you. I have taken the time to reflect deeply, to pray, and to plan. I refused to be rushed by public pressure or personal desire. I wanted to be sure—sure that I was ready not just to win, but to serve excellently.
Those who know me can attest to my accessibility, reliability, and unwavering commitment to the common good. I now humbly ask for your continued support—your ideas, strategies, prayers, and partnership—as we take this journey together toward electing a true servant-leader in 2027.
In the coming days, I will unveil more detailed plans, including campaign strategies, policy roadmaps, and ways each of you can contribute meaningfully to this movement. We are building something bigger than a candidacy—we are building a people-powered renaissance for Ikwuano and Umuahia.
Let us work together to deliver a perfect replacement—a new era of transparent, accessible, and purposeful leadership for our beloved constituency.
Thank you, and may God bless us all.
Yours in committed service,
Chief Enyinnaya Duke Ako-Atulomah (Ugwumbadike)
Aspirant, Federal House of Representatives
Ikwuano/Umuahia North & South Federal Constituency – 2027
