Mayor of Arochukwu Extollles Governor Otti For Training of Abia Youths On ICT, Promise to Organize Same In Arochukwu LGA.
The Mayor of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Engr. Dr. Chibuike Okereke Eze Aru has extolled the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti for training of thousands of Abia Youths on ICT to acquire computer
knowledge.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony for the new ICT graduates in Umuahia, the Mayor stated that the gesture done to the people is the way to go, especially now that the entire world is moving to technology and artificial intelligence (AI) He described the Abia Chief Executive as a visionary and proactive leader and prayed God to continue to bless him with ideas and good health.
The Mayor who is also a professional computer engineer and being one of the first 100 Nigerians to obtain a Ph.D in artificial intelligence (AI) after assessing the graduates, especially those from Arochukwu LGA was satisfied with the level of knowledge they have acquired within 3 months of the training promise to organize a follow -up program of such nature for the participants and even more Youths of Arochukwu LGA to ensure that each of them become perfect and gainfully employed for the good of Arochukwu LGA and Abia State in general.
It will be recalled that the Abia State government in collaboration with the Mayors of the 17 LGAs embarked on training of thousands of Abia Youths on ICT Training since over 3 months ago.
Let’s not forget that the mayor of Arochukwu had before now organized such program for the staff of Arochukwu LGA on assumption of office where he also opened an ICT center in the council headquarters for effective productivity .
