Senator Akobundu Celebrates Senator Chris Adighije at 80
The Senator representing Abia Central, Senator Austin Akobundu has described Senator Chris Adighije as a truly distinguished elderstatesman who served his people selflessly and promoted their interests at all times even as he keeps growing in age.
Akobundu made the remark in his congratulatory message to Senator Adighije on the occasion of his 80th birthday today, Saturday, 22 March 2025.
The birthday message reads:

“Your significant contributions as an erudite scholar to intellectual discourse have enriched knowledge globally, shaped institutions, and brought about progressive reforms to society.
“Despite your towering heights in society, you have remained an epitome of humility and an exemplary philanthropist who has been giving back to society without consideration for class or status.
