Ex Abia Commissioner, Nto endorses Ikenna Ukwa for Aro/ Ohafia Rep seat
Former Commissioner for Finance in Abia State, Prof Phillips Nto has endorsed the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Ikenna Ukwa, for the 2027 elections.
He declared that following the unproductive and ineffective representation of the Constituency in the last 12 years, there is a need for a change .
Nto, a former APC senatorial aspirant in the state, disclosed that after a careful evaluation of the candidates from across political parties, Ikenna Ukwa stood shoulder high amongst them.
According to the former Provost of Abia State College of Education, Technical, Arochukwu, Ikenna Ukwa has proven himself to be a worthy representative of the people even before being elected.
He noted that Ikenna Ukwa has not only empowered the youths with skills and necessary tools for self employment, but has gone ahead to drill boreholes and install solar lights in various communities making up the federal Constituency.
He said the popularity of Ikenna Ukwa has reflected in school children naming him as the authentic representative of the people even before the election.
He also eulogized Ikenna Ukwa for his respect for elders and leaders of APC in the state, saying he is fit for the position both in character and exposure.
Prof Nto, condemned the past representatives of the people in the House of Representatives, to the extent that no-one has ever felt their activities in the last 12 years.
Said he, “We have been in the political desert in the last 12 years, and now is the golden opportunity for us to right the wrongs of the past”
He noted that the incumbent representative, Osonwa who was elected in 2023 in the wake of Peter Obi’s wave has completely failed the people.
“It is inconceivable that a man who can’t even move a motion for the past four years wants to go back to continue sleeping on the job. We should not allow that charade to continue ‘ he said
Prof Nto said that Ikenna Ukwa would offer effective and efficient representation for the people of the federal Constituency as well as continuing his empowerment programme for the youths.
He urged the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency to vote for Ikenna Ukwa at the next election as well as support all APC candidates including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
