RE: ABAM NEEDS GOVERNMENT ACCESS — ACCESS TO GOVERNMENT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ACCOUNTABILITY

Mr. Odinakachi Eric Eme, I have read your lengthy response. You devoted considerable space to my location, personality, supposed history in America, political relevance and motives. Yet the central questions I have consistently raised remain largely unanswered.
Since you invited a debate based on records, I accept. But let us remove the personal insinuations and put documents, dates, funding sources and measurable outcomes on the table.
First, your central proposition that “Abam needs access to government” creates a false choice. Abam needs access AND accountability. Development AND protection of community interests. Relationships AND independent representation. Access becomes meaningful when it produces transparent and equitable outcomes; it should never require citizens to surrender their right to question government.
1. GOVERNOR OTTI’S PROJECTS ARE GOVERNOR OTTI’S PROJECTS
You listed Omenuko Bridge, roads, health facilities, Smart Schools and the proposed General Hospital as evidence of your political argument.
I welcome development in Abam. I have no interest in denying Governor Alex Otti credit for projects his administration has delivered.
Indeed, the Abia State Government itself identifies the Omenuko Bridge and Arochukwu Road as projects of the Otti administration. Governor Otti commissioned them in February 2026.
Likewise, reporting on the proposed Abam General Hospital identifies it as an Abia State Government project approved by Governor Otti. The Health Commissioner said he was inspecting the site on the Governor’s directive. To be fair, the same reporting credits Hon. Uchenna Okoro Kalu with persistence in helping secure a suitable site. That is a legitimate contribution and should be described precisely as such.
That distinction is exactly what my accountability campaign demands.
If you facilitated it, say you facilitated it.
If you nominated it, show the nomination.
If you funded it, show the funding.
If the Governor built it, give the Governor his credit.
Why is asking who did what suddenly “bitterness”?
2. ACCESS IS NOT REPRESENTATION
Your argument effectively says: we know people in government; therefore, stop making noise.
No.
An elected representative is not merely a man who can “get through the door.”
A legislator has constitutional responsibilities involving legislation, representation and oversight. Constituents are therefore entitled to examine the legislator’s record independently of the executive government’s record.
So I repeat the question your essay did not answer:
WHAT IS UCHENNA OKORO KALU’S THREE-YEAR RECORD?
Not Alex Otti’s record.
Not ASUBEB’s record.
Not the Ministry of Health’s record.
Not photographs beside government projects.
His identifiable record.
Put it on the table and let the people judge it.
3. ON PRESCO: QUESTIONS ARE NOT “WAR AGAINST GOVERNMENT”
You accuse me of telling Abam that its land has already been taken.
Then let us simplify matters.
If no acquisition has occurred, excellent.
If no rights have been transferred, excellent.
If no binding agreement exists, excellent.
Then there should be absolutely no difficulty publishing the relevant proposal, maps, acreage under consideration, affected communities, proposed tenure structure, consultation framework and any agreements already executed.
You challenge me to produce an acquisition instrument while simultaneously arguing that the transaction has not reached acquisition. That misses the point of demanding transparency before irreversible commitments are made.
My position remains straightforward:
NO COMMUNITY LAND SHOULD BE TRANSFERRED WITHOUT INFORMED COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION, TRANSPARENT TERMS, LAWFUL PROCESS AND APPROPRIATE COMPENSATION WHERE APPLICABLE.
That principle is neither anti-Otti nor anti-investment.
It is responsible governance.
4. MY LOCATION DOES NOT ANSWER A SINGLE POLICY QUESTION
You repeatedly wrote “America” as though geography were an argument.
It isn’t.
If my argument is wrong, defeat the argument with evidence.
If my figures are wrong, correct them.
If my documents are wrong, publish the authentic documents.
If my interpretation is wrong, demonstrate where.
My physical location cannot transform an unanswered question into an answered one.
And regarding your reference to alleged “records” concerning me in America: publish any authentic, lawfully obtained public record you believe materially contradicts something I have represented about myself, and I will answer it.
Political insinuation is not evidence.
5. YOU ASKED ME TO COME HOME. I WILL FACE THE PEOPLE.
But elections are not decided by who writes “come home” most frequently on Facebook.
When the political process requires my physical presence, I will engage the people directly and present my record, qualifications, programme and proposed contract with the constituency.
The voters not you and not me will determine political relevance.
6. EBEM ABAM IS NOT MY ENEMY
Let me make this unequivocal:
No Ebem Abam community is my enemy.
Atan, Ndi Ojiugwo, Ndi Ebe, Ndi Ememe and every other community are part of the broader Abam family whose development, security and dignity matter.
If you claim that I have attacked an entire community, quote my exact words and provide the source.
Political disagreement with individuals must never become hostility toward communities.
On that principle, we should agree.
7. YOU ASKED FOR MY ALTERNATIVE. HERE IT IS.
My approach remains:
AUDIT → ALTERNATIVE → CONTRACT → ACCOUNTABILITY.
Audit the existing record.
Present realistic alternatives.
Make measurable commitments to the people.
Return periodically and account for performance.
That is not antagonism. It is a model of democratic accountability.
Mr. Eme, you challenged me to a public debate.
Accepted.
But let us establish one condition:
DOCUMENTS BEFORE INSULTS. FACTS BEFORE PERSONALITIES.
Bring the projects you attribute to Hon. Uchenna Okoro Kalu.
For each one, provide the project name, location, funding source, implementing agency, contract amount where publicly available, status and his documented role.
I will put my own claims and supporting evidence on the same table.
Then Ndi Abam and the entire Arochukwu State Constituency can examine both sides and reach their own conclusions.
You called me a “political tourist.”
That changes nothing.
You called me a “content creator.”
That changes nothing.
You questioned my relevance.
That changes nothing.
THE QUESTIONS REMAIN.
WHO DID WHAT?
WHO FUNDED WHAT?
WHO FACILITATED WHAT?
WHAT WAS PROMISED?
WHAT HAS ACTUALLY BEEN DELIVERED?
And most importantly:
WHERE ARE THE RECEIPTS?
I am ready for that conversation.
Not personality against personality.
RECORD AGAINST RECORD.
DOCUMENT AGAINST DOCUMENT.
VISION AGAINST VISION.
Let the people judge.
