Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji (Ikuku Ọma Abia), the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Umuahia North, Umuahia South and Ikwuano Federal Constituency, brings to the contest an extensive record of legislative leadership accumulated over years of service in the Abia State House of Assembly. Rising through the ranks from Majority Leader to Speaker, he presided over one of the state’s most important democratic institutions, acquiring experience in legislative administration, consensus building, lawmaking, policy oversight and intergovernmental engagement. These responsibilities reflect a depth of parliamentary exposure that distinguishes his legislative career and demonstrate the institutional knowledge associated with seasoned legislative leadership.
