HON. IBE OKWARA OSONWA FACILITATES FULL RENOVATION OF OKON COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL OKON OHAFIA.
In a significant boost to educational development across the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, the Member representing Arochukwu/ohafia in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has officially commenced the renovation and reconstruction of Okon Comprehensive School Okon Ohafia.
The project which entails a complete overhaul of dilapidated classroom blocks, administrative units and essential learning facilities stands as a direct fulfillment of Hon. Osonwa’s commitment to giving students a conducive and modern environment to learn.
A Firm Commitment to Quality Education
Hon. Osonwa, widely regarded as a strong advocate for education and human capital development emphasized once again that investing in young people remains his top priority. The renovation of Okon Comprehensive School forms part of his Quality Education Initiative, la deliberate effort to revive public schools that have suffered years of neglect.
The ongoing renovation will cover:
Complete reroofing and structural repairs of classroom blocks
Installation of new windows, doors, and improved flooring
Provision of modern classroom furniture for students and teachers
Renovation of staff rooms and introduction of modern teaching tools
Restoration of water and sanitary facilities
A Track Record of Delivery
This intervention adds to the growing list of educational projects already delivered by the lawmaker. These include furnished classroom blocks at Abam High School, Ukwa Community Primary School in Nkporo, and Abia Ohafia Primary School, as well as the groundbreaking transformation of Ofali Agwu Secondary School into a fully functional Smart School—one of the first in the region.
Hon. Ige Ige Kalu, a representative of the Okon Ohafia community and the councilor representing Okamu Ward, expressed heartfelt appreciation as the project kicked off noting the long-awaited relief it brings.
“We are witnessing genuine representation. Our children will finally learn in an environment that is safe, dignified, and comparable to what is obtainable in other parts of the constituency,” the representative said.
With work now underway, the renovation promises to restore hope and improve the academic future of children in Okon Ohafia.
