Mayor Of Arochukwu, Dr Chibuike Eze Aru Receives Eze Elect Of Etiti Abam, Charges Him To Maintain Peace And Promote Government Policies.
The Executive Mayor of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Chibuike Eze Aru has received the new Eze Elect of Etiti Abam Onyerubi, HRH. Eze John Okere who came to pay him a courtesy and familiarization visit at the Council Headquarters.
Speaking while welcoming the Eze Elect in his office, The Mayor, Dr. Eze Aru congratulated the Eze Elect on his emergence as the custodian of customs and traditions of his people, Etiti Abam and Admonished him to always work and partner with government in the areas of maintaining peace and tranquility, promoting government policies and helping in reporting of crimes that may arise in his community.
The mayor further went on to advise the New Eze to always leave in peace with his people and rule with transparency and love.
Responding, the New Eze Elect, HRH. Eze John Okere said he came as a sign of respect to official present himself to the mayor as the Eze Elect and the Atita the 2nd of Etiti Abam Onyerubi and to congratulate the mayor on his election and swearing in as the Executive Mayor of Arochukwu LGA.
He eulogized the mayor on his achievements so far in the LGA and promised to work with him in consolidating the developmental milestones of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti who is working tirelessly to develop Abia State.
He thanked the mayor for the warm reception he accorded him and his entourage.
The Eze Elect was accompanied by the Majority leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Okoro Uchenna Kalu who is also a son of Etiti Abam, the president general and woman Leader of Atan Abam and host of other notable sons and Daughters of Etiti Abam Onyerubi.
Eze John Okere will be replacing the former Eze Kalu Ayi, the Atita 1 of Etiti Abam Onyerubi who passed on in 2023
