Senator Austin Akobundu Present as Dignitaries Bid Final Farewell to Elder Emmanuel Adaelu
The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Austin Akobundu was among dignitaries from all walks of life who bade the late Adaelu Patriarch, and Leader of Ukwa/Ngwa people, Elder Dr Emmanuel Onyemobi Adaelu MFR, a final farewell as he was buried today in a blaze of glory.

The funeral service which was conducted by the Seventh Day Adventist Church Abayi held at Ngwa High School, Aba.
In his condolence message during his visit to the family earlier, Senator Akobundu expressed his deep sense of loss and pain over the passing of the foremost elderstatesman whose demise he said has left an indelible scar in not only his family, his immediate community and the Ukwa/Ngwa people, but also in Abia State, Nigeria and humanity as a whole.
While recalling how his resin and paint manufacturing company, CHEMLAP Nig Ltd, has continued to be a valuable employer of labour since 1983 when it started operations to date, Akobundu described the highly respected icon of Ngwa heritage as a consummate teacher, erudite scholar, foremost industrialist, exemplary philanthropist, committed activist, lover of God and practising Christian, whose immense positive impact on humanity would remain indelible in the annals of mankind.
He prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest and grant the family and other loved ones he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
